It rose from the AKP benches: Saadet Party reacts to 'Allah's wrath' remarks

Saadet Party Group Deputy Chairman Bülent Kaya, in his speech at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) General Assembly, reacted to the words "This is how Allah's wrath happens," which rose from the AKP benches for Kocaeli MP Hasan Bitmez, who passed away on December 14.

Stating, "If this name continues to be hidden, we, as the Saadet Party and the public, will be forced to accept that the owner of these words is one of the 264 AK Party MPs," Kaya said, "In order not to leave 263 of our AK Party MPs under suspicion, it is essential that the identity of this MP be recorded in the minutes. History must record this document of shame."

Thanking Özgür Özel for CHP Kütahya MP Ali Fazıl Kasap, who joined the Saadet Party after the group in Parliament fell below the required number following Bitmez's passing, Kaya said the following;

"Due to the passing of our Kocaeli MP Hasan Bitmez, the Saadet Party lost one MP in the parliamentary group we formed as the Saadet and Future parties. Following this, there were political parties that expressed good intentions for the continuation of the group and said they were ready to fulfill any duty that falls upon us for democratic solidarity. We thank them. I would like to present my respects and thanks in your presence to the entire Republican People's Party and their colleagues, in the person of the Honorable Chairman of the Republican People's Party, Mr. Özgür Özel, who demonstrated a democratic stance to make this democratic solidarity concrete and reach the number of MPs required by the Assembly's Internal Regulations for the Saadet Party, and who showed sacrifice and generosity so that the voice and words of the Saadet Party would not be silenced during the budget negotiations."
