'I AM TIRED OF THIS GESTURE-SEEKING PROCESS'
Following her shopkeeper visits, Akşener answered questions from members of the press.
When asked about CHP Chair Özgür Özel's remarks in Balıkesir regarding the mayoral candidacy, where he said, 'We are expecting a gesture from the İYİ Party,' Akşener stated the following:
'Everyone is dumping every single fault on me. I will take the blame, by all means, as long as you remain blameless. We did not succeed. For 3 years, I said let us come together and unite around a single candidate.'
'I am tired and fed up with this gesture-seeking process from the Republican People's Party; I am sick to my stomach now. We did not do anything to put those 15 parliamentary colleagues in a difficult position. We went around thanking them repeatedly.'
Regarding the disqualification of İYİ Party Mamak mayoral candidate Hüseyin Bayındır by the Supreme Election Council, Akşener said, 'There is nothing to be said about that.'
