İYİ Party Leader Müsavat Dervişoğlu spoke at his party's group meeting.
Criticizing the debates regarding 'normalization', Dervişoğlu said, 'Together with our nation, we will bring this game down on their heads with God's permission. You can no longer carry this cause that has toppled over, you cannot repair your darkened lightbulb, and you cannot take Turkey anywhere with the scrap of that rotten ship. Be sure of this. The İYİ Party exists and is now declaring to the world that that ship has lost its validity'.
4 CONDITIONS FOR 'NORMALIZATION'
Dervişoğlu listed his conditions for normalization to the government as follows:
"Protect the border that has turned into a sieve with your open-door policy since 2011, go ahead, let's normalize.
Stop having dead children booed in public squares, go ahead, let's normalize.
Fix the system where you hire those with connections rather than those with merit, go ahead, let's normalize.
Bring Turkish justice and the judges of the republic to the place they deserve, go ahead, let's normalize.
Abandon the presidential system, go ahead, let's normalize"
BANNING OF GRADUATION CEREMONIES
Speaking about the bans and austerity measures imposed on graduation ceremonies, Dervişoğlu said, ''Rest assured that our youth have a vision that will not fit into the narrow molds in your minds. You should practice austerity first by giving up your ostentatious lives''.
"TO CREATE AN OPPOSITION GUIDED BY A SINGLE MAN..."
Some parts of Dervişoğlu's speech are as follows:
"Being in opposition in politics is an honorable duty assigned to parties by the citizens. As a duty of the republic and democracy, being in opposition means pointing out the government's mistakes and showing it the way in the name of the nation's interests when necessary. We see that, especially after the 2024 local elections, the one-man regime is working desperately to create an opposition guided by itself"
REACTION TO DEPUTY KAYA WHO SWITCHED FROM İYİ PARTY TO CHP
Targeting the İYİ Party deputies who switched to the CHP and CHP Leader Özgür Özel, İYİ Party Leader Dervişoğlu continued as follows:
“Holding onto another branch without letting go of the first is the movement strategy of monkeys. We are aware of the homework the government has given to those who make peace and then repeat the same act"
