İYİ Party Chair Meral Akşener had become the target of criticism following the results of the March 31 Local Elections.

While calls for her resignation were made after the election, Akşener had announced an Extraordinary Elective Congress.

It has been learned that Akşener, who announced in a statement on X today that she would not be a candidate at the Congress, had her belongings removed from the party headquarters.

While the belongings were being loaded into a vehicle by staff, it was learned that Akşener would remain in Ankara during the holiday.
