İYİ Party Secretary General Uğur Poyraz, regarding the announcement that former İYİ Party Chair Meral Akşener would file a lawsuit against former CHP Chair Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and Zafer Party Chair Ümit Özdağ, stated, "The communication breakdown is a matter between two former chairs. This lawsuit does not bind the corporate identity of the two parties."
In an interview, Kılıçdaroğlu had stated that he was not surprised by Akşener's visit to the Palace. It was subsequently revealed that Akşener would file a lawsuit.
COMMUNICATION BREAKDOWN
Speaking to Habertürk, Poyraz said the following:
"Ms. Meral Akşener had expressed that she would leave politics while presenting her predictions regarding the March 31 election results during the local election process. Ms. Akşener did not run as a candidate on March 31, and she did not run in the party congress. She is the Founding Chair of the İYİ Party. Of course, she had written a great epic with the İYİ Party. This lawsuit process is Ms. Akşener's own initiative. Mr. Kılıçdaroğlu, who is mentioned as the subject of the lawsuit, is also the former chair of the CHP. The communication breakdown is a matter between two former chairs. This lawsuit does not bind the corporate identity of the two parties."
