Waters are not calming down in the İYİ Party, where news of resignations has been coming one after another.
Ahmet Zeki Üçok, the Head of Law and Justice Policies of the İYİ Party, has been dismissed from his post.
HE HAD SAID "I ADVOCATE FOR COOPERATION WITH THE CHP"
Ahmet Zeki Üçok, whose dismissal was being discussed in the lobbies, had stated in his remarks to Hilal Köylü from Serbestiyet, "It has reached my ears that I have been dismissed, but it has not yet been made official."
Üçok had said the following:
"Just as the authority to select members of the executive board in the İYİ Party lies with the chairperson, the authority to dismiss them also lies with the chairperson. Everything is at the discretion of the chairperson."
"I previously made my presentation with maps regarding how the party would win if it were to cooperate with the CHP to our chairperson, Meral Akşener. She herself had told me to make this presentation at the GİK (General Administrative Board). However, at the GİK meeting, she asked me to only give a verbal explanation and to abandon the presentation with maps."
Stating, "I advocate for cooperation with the CHP, but the GİK decided to reject the cooperation," Üçok had said, "I respect this decision as well. I have not been doing these map-based studies for three days. I have been doing them for months with my friends around me. As if this were unknown, I was approached with unstylish, inappropriate criticisms after the GİK. This is not how it should be. It should not have been like this."
