İzzet Ulvi Yönter explains the behind-the-scenes of his resignation: Who is the 'agent who infiltrated the MHP'?

Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Deputy Chairman İzzet Ulvi Yönter announced on social media that he has resigned from his post. In his statement, Yönter said, "I am resigning from my position as MHP Deputy Chairman due to necessity. I submit this to the public's information."

Continuing his remarks following his resignation, Yönter stated that there was "an agent who infiltrated the MHP," adding, "We are watching you from every angle; your money will not work, you scheming scoundrel."

Some MHP figures also shared posts in support of Yönter.

THE PROCESS LEADING TO THE RESIGNATION

"The name he refers to by saying 'the agent who infiltrated the MHP' is none other than Eyyup Yıldız, Chief Advisor to MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli.

What is happening in the MHP is not just a clash between two names; it is an expression of a struggle for power, information, and control.

Let us start with the most current and flashiest part; shortly before his arrest, we learned from a report by our journalist colleague İsmail Arı that striking information was included in the supplementary indictment of the Ayhan Bora Kaplan criminal organization case.

According to the supplementary indictment, correspondence on a mobile phone determined to belong to Serdar Sertçelik, known as Ayhan Bora Kaplan's right-hand man, contained details about the MHP Group Meeting and İzzet Ulvi Yönter.

According to the messages, gang members had learned one day in advance, thanks to İzzet Ulvi Yönter, what Bahçeli would say at the MHP Group Meeting regarding the investigation into them.

According to MHP sources, İzzet Ulvi Yönter and those on his side see Eyyup Yıldız as the person who caused the Ayhan Bora Kaplan case to spill over into the MHP.
