Journalist İsmail Saymaz's words to his wife before being detained revealed: 'Please announce this!'

Journalist İsmail Saymaz has been detained as part of an investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office on charges of 'aiding in an attempt to overthrow the Government of Turkey.'

It was alleged that content from conversations between Saymaz and individuals involved in the preparation of the website for Osman Kavala—who was sentenced to aggravated life imprisonment in the Gezi Park trial—and the establishment of a television channel planned to disseminate actions through the press, had been identified.
