Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu sets off for Istanbul following the detention of İmamoğlu
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu has been taken into custody as part of two separate investigations launched by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office on charges of "corruption" and "terrorism." Following İmamoğlu's detention, former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu set off for Istanbul.

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu has been taken into custody as part of two separate investigations launched by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office on charges of "corruption" and "terrorism." Detention warrants were issued for 106 people along with İmamoğlu.
According to a report by Mustafa Bildircin from BirGün, former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu set off for Istanbul following the operation.
In a post he shared following the operation, Kılıçdaroğlu stated the following:
"This intervention against the national will, the law, and democracy is unacceptable. Those who try to take revenge on the Republican People's Party have fallen from the eyes and hearts of the nation. Our search for rights, law, and justice will continue. I convey my feelings of support and solidarity to Mr. Ekrem.”
