Kemal Okuyan reacts to Erdoğan's appeal to bosses: To not be an enemy of this people, one must be against capital

Communist Party of Turkey (TKP) General Secretary Kemal Okuyan has reacted to AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who addressed business owners saying, "As long as you work, produce, and provide employment. As long as you add strength to Turkey's production capacity."

AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made statements at the High Technology Incentive Program Promotion Meeting.

Addressing business owners, Erdoğan said, "As long as you work, produce, and provide employment. As long as you add strength to Turkey's production capacity. With God's permission, no one will ever be able to separate us from you."

The Communist Party of Turkey, for some time now, has been explaining what the profits of holding companies mean for the working people with examples, stating, "Let the assets and profits of the holdings be sacrificed for our people." 

While austerity measures are recommended to the workers who produce all the wealth of the country, bosses are announcing record profit margins. While tax justice and the rates of increase to be made to the minimum wage are being discussed on one side, the Communist Party of Turkey points to the source of the problems and says, "The solution is to seize what is ours." 

Reacting to Erdoğan's statement, TKP General Secretary Kemal Okuyan made a post on his X account. In his post, Okuyan emphasized, "To not be an enemy of this people, one must be against capital."

Okuyan's post is as follows:

"Erdoğan said they would not allow hostility toward capital and addressed the bosses saying, 'as long as you add strength to Turkey's production capacity. With God's permission, no one will ever be able to separate us from you.' You do not separate. But the laborers, retirees, unemployed, and poor peasants have already separated. As Turkey's production capacity strengthens, exploitation and inequality increase. This stark contradiction must be corrected. To not be an enemy of this country and this people, one must be against capital."
