Kemal Okuyan: There is nothing new or changed here

As the candidate of change, Özgür Özel, was elected CHP Chairman, TKP General Secretary Kemal Okuyan made statements regarding the 'change' debates within the CHP.

''THEY WILL TRY TO LULL THE PUBLIC WITH 'CHANGE''

Okuyan stated, ''Those who try to apply makeup to the Turkey designed by the AKP by accepting it will once again try to lull the public with 'change'.''

''THEY WILL CONTINUE ON THE PATH OPENED BY KILIÇDAROĞLU''

Kemal Okuyan's statements are as follows:

''The 'change' candidate Özgür Özel won in the CHP. Some will again try to extract 'hope' from a convention that was devoid of content and where it was unclear who stood for what. Those who have lost faith in the country and are trying to apply makeup to the Turkey designed by the AKP will once again try to lull the public with 'change'.

The duo of Ekrem İmamoğlu and Özgür Özel will continue on the path opened by Kılıçdaroğlu, with a left-wing veneer. They will also smear this veneer onto the Party Assembly (PM). Thus, minds will be thoroughly confused. Millions of people who support the CHP will think the party has turned its face to the left.

''THERE IS NOTHING NEW OR CHANGED HERE''

The approach of 'Özgür Özel has just been elected, let's see what happens' serves no purpose other than to buy time for the ruling power. It is difficult to accept for those who do not want to lose their optimism regarding the CHP, but the CHP's line is determined by imperialists and big capital. No one can change this.

We are saying it in advance. The TKP will stand against the 'new' projects that will be put forward to cripple and domesticate the struggle against the AKP government and the order of exploitation, and it will do everything to spoil the game. In any case, there is nothing 'new' or 'changed' here.''
