Kept her promise from before the election: CHP's Burcu Köksal posted her assets on the municipal board

CHP's Afyonkarahisar Mayor Burcu Köksal, who promised before the March 31 Local Elections that she would post her assets at the entrance of the municipality if elected, has kept her word. Posting her assets on the board at the entrance of the municipality, Köksal stated, "I present my respects with the understanding that 'Transparent Municipalism begins with the Mayor's office.'"

CHP's Burcu Köksal, who remained on the agenda for a long time due to her remarks regarding the DEM Party at a rally held before the local elections, was elected Mayor of Afyonkarahisar on March 31 with 50.73 percent of the vote.

After receiving her certificate of election and beginning her duties, Köksal posted her assets on the board located at the entrance of the municipality, fulfilling her promise. It was observed that Köksal's assets included six houses, two of which are duplexes.

According to the information on the list, Köksal owns one house each in the Yunus Emre neighborhood, the Dervişpaşa neighborhood, the town of Susuz, and the Didim district of Aydın.

Also according to the list, Köksal owns two masonry houses with gardens in the Yunus Emre neighborhood of Afyonkarahisar, one vineyard and one field in the village of Başağaç in the Sandıklı district, and one plot of land in the Fevzipaşa neighborhood located in the Didim district of Aydın.

In a post on her social media account, Köksal stated, “My dear fellow citizens of Afyonkarahisar, as I promised before the elections, I am sharing my assets with you. My fellow citizens should trust and believe in the mayor they have elected. I present my respects with the understanding that 'Transparent Municipalism begins with the Mayor's office.'"
