RECEIVED HIS CERTIFICATE
Özgür Özel spoke while receiving his certificate of election as CHP Chairman.
Özel stated, "Starting with Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, there will also be a photograph of our esteemed Chairman. I represented my party as group deputy chairman for 8 years. It is a great honor for me to receive this certificate in this room as the 8th Chairman of the CHP."
Thanking the journalists as well, Özel said, "You have also contributed a lot to us. It happened thanks to the news you reported from under the roof of this Parliament for 8 years. In such an environment where the parliament is increasingly being discredited, we will do our part for the prestige of the parliament."
Speaking about the Constitutional Court's (AYM) decision regarding the CHP's annulment application, Özel said, "We advise them not to be encouraged by this decision and not to attempt censorship. We will be by your side and behind you."
Özel also stated that it would be brought to the agenda at the Party Assembly (PM) on Saturday.
