The lawsuit filed to cancel the Republican People's Party (CHP) convention, which saw a change in leadership and a subsequent rise in the party's popularity, has been postponed.

The court decided to await the finalization of the appeal process regarding the decision of lack of jurisdiction and adjourned the hearing to September 8.

KILIÇDAROĞLU BREAKS HIS SILENCE

Most recently, former CHP leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu broke his silence following the court hearing via social media.

Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu's post came immediately after the dismissal of the person managing the X account of the Datça Municipality, who had rejected a 'holiday gift for Kılıçdaroğlu'.

Stating, "I do not find it right to play with anyone's livelihood," Kılıçdaroğlu said, "If the reason for the dismissal of our friend working at the Datça Municipality is a post they made regarding me, I grant them my forgiveness. It would please me if they were reinstated to their position."

Continuing his message with notable remarks, Kılıçdaroğlu added, "I grant my forgiveness not only to that friend, but also to the young people who were misled by lies and false information and insulted me," and continued as follows:

"As for the journalists fed by funds, the trolls, and the blinded politicians, I leave them to the justice of God and the conscience of the nation."

WHAT HAPPENED?

Before the hearing on June 30 (today), while Kılıçdaroğlu was sending signals that he would accept a decision of absolute nullity, CHP Chairman Özgür Özel had stated, "We will not leave the party to a trustee, nor will we leave it to nullity."

A user on X had written, "If Kılıçdaroğlu gives up on this nonsense, I will gift him a 10-day half-board holiday in Datça, including shorts and sunscreen," tagging the X accounts of Kılıçdaroğlu and the Datça Municipality on the platform.

The Datça Municipality had responded to the holiday gift offer by saying, "Unfortunately, we are fully booked."

Following that response, which became a trending topic, it was announced today that Osman Akın, who was responsible for the Datça Municipality's social media account, had been fired.
