Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who was 'brought' back to the seat of Chairman of the Republican People's Party (CHP) following a court decision, has broken his silence regarding the police intervention at CHP Headquarters and the tensions that occurred.
Barış Yarkadaş conveyed Kılıçdaroğlu's statements.
Stating that for the first time in CHP's history, members of parliament, Party Assembly (PM) members, and High Disciplinary Board (YDK) members were not allowed into the party building, Kılıçdaroğlu said, "For the first time in CHP history, our MPs, PM members, and YDK members were not allowed into our party building. What could be worse than this?"
Claiming that they tried to hold discussions and reach a joint decision to overcome the current crisis, but that their efforts were not reciprocated, Kılıçdaroğlu said, "We sought a path to reconciliation until the very end. We sought a path to make decisions together. However, all our efforts were left unreciprocated by our friends."
Emphasizing that he is uncomfortable with this situation in the party, Kılıçdaroğlu argued that they were not the cause of the process and stated the following:
"And this picture, which I am also very uncomfortable with, emerged. However, we certainly did not cause this situation.
Please call for calm among our party organizations, our citizens, our party members, and everyone. When you leave here, do not be hurtful; be constructive."
