The Kılıçdaroğlu-Dündar feud... Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu's lawyer Celal Çelik: I will gift that book to Uğur Dündar

While the aftermath of the May 14-28 elections is still being assessed, journalist Uğur Dündar used critical language toward former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu during a live broadcast on Sözcü TV, claiming that Kılıçdaroğlu was solely responsible for the defeat. Kılıçdaroğlu responded to Dündar via a letter. Following these mutual exchanges, a reply to the letter has now come from Uğur Dündar. Denying Kılıçdaroğlu's allegations against him, Dündar also wrote the following regarding the late artist Tarık Akan:

“You have even used my dear friend Tarık Akan as a tool to vent your ambition and spite.

My friendship with the late Tarık began with a fight in our youth. But later, we became two very good friends. The closest witnesses to this are Tarık's close friends and dear Müjdat Gezen. Furthermore, after his passing, I worked very hard to have Tarık's name given to the Freedom Park in Bakırköy, where he lived, so it would become the TARIK AKAN FREEDOM PARK. I wish you had lent a hand as the CHP Chairman so we could have succeeded!

Also, I wish you could have shown the same harsh stance you took against me toward the AKP government, against which you have been losing for years.”

KILIÇDAROĞLU’S LAWYER ALSO JOINS IN

Kılıçdaroğlu’s lawyer has also joined the feud between Kılıçdaroğlu and Dündar. Reminding him of Tarık Akan’s book, Atty. Celal Çelik wrote the following on his social media account:

“I have decided to gift a book to Uğur Dündar, who abstractly defended himself by saying 'it is not true' against the justified criticisms directed by our 7th Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu! The book 'Anne Kafamda Bit Var' (Mom, There Are Lice in My Head) by the great artist Tarık Akan... With the relevant sections marked!..”
