Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who was brought to the CHP chairmanship following a decision of absolute nullity, is preparing to hit the field with a thematic "City Meetings" program in addition to his provincial visits. The first stop of the program will be İzmir.
"We Are Claiming Our Future for National Consciousness and a Strong Turkey" is the slogan under which the meetings will be held, and Kılıçdaroğlu is expected to travel to İzmir on Wednesday, September 2. It was stated that the agenda of the first city meeting will include victimized families seeking justice.
According to a report by the pro-government newspaper Türkiye Gazetesi, Kılıçdaroğlu will directly listen to the problems and demands of families during his İzmir program. The program is being launched following a message to focus more on problems in the field rather than intra-party disputes.
According to CHP staff, the meetings will be held in a different province each month, centered around a different theme. In this context, meetings are planned on topics such as the economy, agricultural workers, the housing crisis, and a second opening process referred to as a "terror-free Turkey."
The city meetings will involve contact not only with party organizations but also with citizens, professional groups, and civil society representatives connected to the topics being discussed. The data collected from the field is intended to be used in the preparation of both the election manifesto and the new party program.
