According to a report by Mehtap Gökdemir from Milliyet; it is stated that the number of visitors coming to the office of the 7th CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu in the Mustafa Kemal neighborhood of Ankara is increasing every day. A close aide to Kılıçdaroğlu stated that Kılıçdaroğlu prevented the resignations of several MPs who wanted to leave, saying:
“After the mayoral candidate appointments, a few MP friends considered resigning. A few MPs wanted to resign to protest the appointments, due to the appointments in their own provinces. It was conveyed to him (Kılıçdaroğlu). They met with him. Kılıçdaroğlu said, ‘No, such a thing can never happen, you will not leave. You will not do such a thing.’ He told the mayors who were not re-nominated, ‘Do not leave. Stay in the party. The party is our party.’”

While the claim that “names close to Kılıçdaroğlu were purged” is being voiced in party corridors, Kılıçdaroğlu's inner circle commented: “He thinks that names close to him were deliberately not nominated. He is concerned about the nominations. He is not satisfied with the nominations, especially the İzmir candidates. He evaluates it by saying, ‘They were going to hold primaries, they didn't; they talked about merit and polls, but that didn't happen either.’”

Kılıçdaroğlu's inner circle stated, “The collapse of the alliance and the unity of power deeply disturbs Mr. Kemal,” and made the following assessments:
“It is not just the Table of Six; the sociological segments, political segments, and the public that were brought closer together with great effort are being torn apart from each other. This disturbs Mr. Kemal. He thinks that the party remained weak during the budget negotiations in parliament. He evaluates it by saying, ‘Instead of sitting in parliament during the Can Atalay issue, it would have been better if they had gone and sat at Numan Kurtulmuş’s door. They should have sat at Kurtulmuş’s door.’”
It was stated that Kılıçdaroğlu told the party members who visited him, “We have an important local election ahead of us. We must not lose the existing municipalities. The party needs to get stronger. Work hard.”
