It has been learned that CHP leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who held a secret meeting with 13 district chairs from the DEVA Party, also met with figures from the Future Party and the AKP. On the other hand, it was noted that 100,000 new members will join the CHP after the convention.
In the CHP, which is preparing to hold its convention on November 4-5, the critical meetings held by Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu have become the focus of the political agenda. Following Kılıçdaroğlu's meeting with DEVA Party district chairs in Istanbul last Saturday, 13 individuals resigned from DEVA the day before yesterday.
According to the report by Nagihan Yılkın from Cumhuriyet; Kılıçdaroğlu, who held other meetings on the same day, also met with members of the Future Party and the AKP. It was stated that the meeting requests came to the CHP leader from other political parties. It was learned that the local election process was discussed during the meetings.
'THEY WANT TO TAKE THEIR PLACE AROUND THE CHP'
Former CHP Istanbul Deputy Gürsel Tekin, who participated in the meetings, provided the information that, “Because the CHP is an important party, many figures from the DEVA Party, the Future Party, the IYI Party, and the AKP want to take their place around this brand.”
100 THOUSAND NEW MEMBERS
Gürsel Tekin continued his words as follows:
“Despite all the debates, Kılıçdaroğlu has taken a clear stance on the continuation of the Table of Six. In the coming days, 100,000 people from various parties will join our party in Istanbul. Most of them will be from the AKP. There is a demand for the CHP's corporate identity. AKP members themselves have declared that they want to switch to this identity. The safest harbor in Turkey is the CHP. Those with political expectations will come to the 'father's hearth' (the party's roots). I invite everyone to the father's hearth.”
