Kılıçdaroğlu's harsh 'trustee' jab at Özel: 'The wolf has donned sheep's clothing...'

In a statement strongly reacting to the appointment of trustees, former CHP leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu also took a jab at CHP leader Özgür Özel regarding his 'normalization' policy. Kılıçdaroğlu stated, "The wolf has donned sheep's clothing; you think they have become our friends now."

Reactions continue to emerge regarding the normalization and softening steps announced by CHP leader Özgür Özel following the March 31 Local Elections.

Most recently, former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu reacted to the appointment of trustees to DEM Party municipalities in Esenyurt five days ago, and this morning in Mardin, Batman, and Halfeti.

Kılıçdaroğlu's words, "The wolf has donned sheep's clothing; you think they have become our friends now," were interpreted as a criticism of CHP leader Özgür Özel.

'BY BEGGING THE DICTATOR...'

Kılıçdaroğlu continued his remarks as follows:

"Nothing will change or improve until this goes. Justice cannot be established by begging the dictator. The future of Turkey will not brighten without defending democracy against the lawlessness of the Palace!

Remaining silent on unlawful appointments and turning a blind eye to trustees is opening the door to an anti-democratic order. We have no choice but to fight shoulder to shoulder against this one-man regime by uniting and growing, rather than dividing!

With our voices louder, our will firmer, and our belief in democracy hardened, I call on every citizen to take responsibility and build a Turkey of justice."
