Former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu stated that former IYI Party leader Meral Akşener's departure from and subsequent return to the table during the May 14-28 elections infected the process, saying: "I would like you to ask Meral Hanım this question: Why did she leave the Table of Six? Speaking to Seyhan Avşar from Gerçek Gündem, Kılıçdaroğlu responded to the question, "Meral Hanım made statements to the effect of 'I did not know about this candidacy.' Could there have been a lack of consultation regarding your candidacy?" as follows:
"I do not want to create a ground for a private debate, but we made decisions by consensus at the Table of Six. What infected the process was Meral Hanım leaving and then returning. Regarding the protocol signed with Ümit Özdağ, Kılıçdaroğlu said, "Ümit Özdağ signed that protocol stating that 'a trustee cannot be appointed without a court decision.' This protocol is constantly viewed with a critical eye. True, there are aspects to be criticized. But today, Erdoğan can appoint a trustee without a court decision.
