Singer Yavuz Bingöl wrote a letter to CHP Chairman Özgür Özel and shared his assessment regarding the calls for boycotts.

In his letter, Yavuz Bingöl expressed his feelings and views regarding recent events.

The letter written by Bingöl included the following statements:

"Dear Özgür Özel, I felt compelled to write this letter to you following your efforts to mobilize young people to the streets and your call for a boycott. We had shared beauties and values that we have built over centuries. We used to embrace one another through the commonality of our pain, sorrow, mourning, hope, and anxiety. The cradle of this deep-rooted partnership was Anatolia. Yunus Emre, Hacıbektaş, Mevlana, Âşık Veysel, Neşet Ertaş, Kemal Sunal, Barış Manço, Ferdi Tayfur, Edip Akbayram, Volkan Konak, and of course, so many other beautiful people, artists, and intellectuals whose names would not fit here... In fact, what we should be aware of is the power of our art and artists. This is what is unifying and what is healing. While we need to embrace each other and share our laughter and tears, what are these boycott calls, the insults, abuse, and polarization directed at those who do not participate in the boycott... Dear Özgür Özel, do we not need to adorn our humanity with kindness and art? I invite you to act like a responsible politician and to remember these values of ours. Yavuz Bingöl"
