Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş has alluded to the remarks made by CHP Afyonkarahisar mayoral candidate Burcu Köksal, who stated, "When I am elected, the doors of the municipality will be open to every political party except the DEM Party." With only a few days left until the local elections, the remarks made by CHP Afyonkarahisar mayoral candidate Burcu Köksal regarding the DEM Party have become a central topic in politics.
"When I am elected, the doors of the Afyonkarahisar Municipality will be open to every political party except the DEM Party," Köksal said, refusing to back down from her words, while CHP Chairman Özgür Özel had described them as a 'slip of the tongue.'
THE HARSHES REACTION FROM İMAMOĞLU
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, who showed the harshest reaction to Köksal's words, had used the phrase, "Find yourself another job or another party."

While Köksal's remarks about the DEM Party continue to occupy the agenda, Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş has now joined the debate.
Speaking at the opening of the election coordination center in Bağlıca, which was also attended by CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, CHP Ankara Metropolitan Municipality mayoral candidate Mansur Yavaş noted that after winning, he and CHP Etimesgut mayoral candidate Erdal Beşikçioğlu would remove their party badges and work in an equitable manner.
