Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş has clarified the allegations regarding the concert budget that have recently sparked public debate. While appearing as a guest on the "Şimdi Konuşalım" program with Hande Aydemir on tv100, Yavaş stated that the 94 million TL expenditure in question was not for a single concert, but for a series of events.

Mansur Yavaş made the following statement to refute the allegations that have come to the fore: "They wrote that 84 million TL was paid to Candan Erçetin. However, there is no single concert. The technical setup for a total of 8 concerts, including the one featuring Candan Erçetin, was done at once, and all concerts received service from there. In other words, the 94 million TL was spent on all these events, not just one concert."

Yavaş emphasized that this expenditure for the concerts covers technical infrastructure and setup costs, and that the preparations made at once were used for many concert events in the long run.

"IT WAS MISUNDERSTOOD"

Mayor Yavaş stated that the 94 million TL expenditure was incorrectly linked to a single concert, noting that "everything should be understood correctly."

WHAT HAPPENED?

The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office had launched an investigation into allegations that "public loss was caused by expenditures related to concerts held between 2021 and 2024" by the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality. Within the scope of the investigation, 14 people, including municipal employees, were detained on charges of "misconduct in office" and "rigging a tender." Of those detained, 5 were arrested, while 9 were released under judicial control.
