Journalist İsmail Küçükkaya’s “Yeni Bir Sabah” program, ABB Mayor Mansur Yavaş responded to Küçükkaya’s comment that “it is said your vote share has risen to around 60 percent” by saying, “The last two polls arrived, one came yesterday, our polls are around that figure.”

"THERE IS AN INJUSTICE IN THIS REPRESENTATION"

In his speech, Yavaş reacted as follows:

“However, there is such a situation; according to the simulation we conducted, if we do not win more district municipalities, we remain in the minority despite these vote shares,” Yavaş said. “In 2014, I was 80 thousand votes ahead in the city center, but despite this, we only secured 28 council members. In 2019, we won the election, but out of 148 council members, our total number was 40. Therefore, there is an injustice in this representation.”
