Following the instruction of AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to "shake up the municipalities," it was alleged that the Social Security Institution (SGK) had taken action.

According to reports by Sözcü TV, the SGK withdrew money from the accounts of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) and the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB).

It was stated that 15 million TL had been withdrawn from the ABB's accounts.

Following the allegations, Mansur Yavaş made a statement on his social media account, reporting that the municipality does not have any debt to the SGK.

The full statement by Mansur Yavaş is as follows:

The Ankara Metropolitan Municipality and its affiliated organizations, ASKİ and EGO, do not have any tax or SGK debt. The debt belongs to only 6 of the ABB's 16 subsidiaries, and all accounts of these companies, including personnel salary accounts, have been blocked.

The companies subject to foreclosure and the amounts are as follows:

•Bugsaş A.Ş.: 16 million TL

•Belpa A.Ş.: 15 million 667 thousand TL

•Belka A.Ş.: 17.5 million TL

•Anfa Peyzaj: 1.6 million TL

•Anfa Güvenlik: 1 million 260 thousand TL

•Anket A.Ş.: 107 thousand TL

All my fellow citizens of Ankara who trusted me in 2019 and 2024 should rest assured. They may be thinking, 'Let's block the accounts of the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality companies so they cannot support retirees, cannot provide meat support, cannot provide milk support, and cannot build nurseries.'

Despite all these interventions, we will not reduce our support by a single penny; on the contrary, we will continue to increase it.
