Mass resignation in Uşak: İYİ Party district chair criticizes Provincial Chair with harsh words

The wave of resignations in the İYİ Party continues. İYİ Party Banaz District Chair Enver Aras announced that they have resigned en masse from the Banaz District Organization.

İYİ Party Banaz District Chair Enver Aras addressed the following in a post he shared on social media:

"INCOMPETENT, UNQUALIFIED, ARROGANCE..."

"While we were working heart and soul in the field for the success of our party with our Provincial General Assembly candidates and our organization, we are the ones paying the price for Provincial Chair Ayşegül Obalı's incompetent, unqualified, and arrogant political attitude. Ignoring the Banaz İYİ Party organization, without even showing the courtesy of informing us or asking for our opinion, she sat down and negotiated with different people in Banaz behind our backs and offered them candidacy. Despite receiving a negative response, they met again the next day, and no agreement could be reached, rendering the negotiations futile; we still do not know the subjects of the negotiations that took place. Our political work, which we carry out based on the awareness that the capital of politics is people and on the principle of volunteerism, is known to you all.

"THE POLITICAL INSTITUTION IS IN THE CLUTCHES OF INCOMPETENCE AND IMMORALITY"

On the evening of February 18, we met at the party building upon Ayşegül Obalı's request to speak with us. With the embarrassment of her mistake and the mood of someone who has fallen into a difficult situation she cannot handle, she asked us to stage a 'theatre' of a change of duty and announce our candidate in order to avoid damaging the party and to clear her own name. On behalf of the organization we have put effort into and the friends who will continue to engage in politics, we accepted and became extras in the insincere photos and videos of the theatre requested of us. However, we were horrified when we saw the statement Ayşegül Obalı and her entourage made to the press. Accusing us of handing over the İYİ Party to other parties and saying they were investigating this is an indication of the incompetence and immorality the political institution is in the clutches of.

"WE ARE AT AN EQUAL DISTANCE TO EVERY CANDIDATE"

As of now, we have resigned from the İYİ Party and are at an equal distance to every candidate; we have had no intention of tying anyone to a specific candidate. Our friends have the intelligence to weigh who will be more beneficial to our Banaz, and they are free to use their preference for whichever candidate they wish. Let those who say we are involved in any business of not fielding a candidate through some negotiation know that; thanks to the friend I assigned today, they have submitted their candidacy applications to the District Election Board."
