Umut Yılmaz, who recently began his term as mayor in the Şehitkâmil district of Gaziantep after switching to the AKP ranks, made notable remarks during a meeting with local neighborhood heads.

Yılmaz attributed the peaceful continuation of daily life to the policies of AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. In his speech, he stated, "If we can drink tea here today, who is it thanks to? Excuse me, but it is thanks to this President. This situation is heading toward Turkey. We are surrounded by war on all sides. If we are drinking tea here, you have to give credit where credit is due."

During the meeting, Yılmaz emphasized the preservation of a relative environment of peace and stability in the country despite the negative conditions surrounding Turkey.
