The Memleket Party, led by Muharrem İnce, which received 0.17 percent of the vote nationwide in the local elections, is downsizing. The party's headquarters in Ankara has been vacated, closed, and locked.
The party logos have also been removed from the bus that İnce famously said, "I am hitting the road with one bus." It was reported that the Memleket Party made this decision for cost-saving purposes and will be moving to a small office in the Etimesgut district.
According to a report by Sözcü, Muharrem İnce said regarding the closure of the headquarters, "We cannot receive aid from the Treasury and are trying to survive on member donations. We have decided to cut our expenses as much as possible. In the digital age, where communication opportunities have increased, it is a necessity for the tools of politics to change as well."
Stating, "We will downsize our party buildings and increase our presence on digital platforms," İnce added, "We will ensure greater participation of young people and women who support us in the party and strengthen our presence on the political stage. We will continue to say Reason, Morality, and Justice on the path of Atatürk. We will not extinguish Turkey's beacon of hope, and we will always keep our joy of living and our hope for the future alive."
