Meral Akşener breaks her long silence

Former İYİ Party Chair Meral Akşener, who has been away from the public eye for some time, broke her silence on the anniversary of her party's founding. Akşener celebrated the 8th anniversary of the İYİ Party, which was established on October 25, 2017.

“AN UNFORGETTABLE STRUGGLE WAS WAGED FOR TURKISH DEMOCRACY”

Stating that the founding of her party was an important turning point for Turkish democracy, Akşener said that the İYİ Party, born 8 years ago by the mandate of the nation, has reached this day. Expressing her pride in the founding of her party, Akşener said, "Today is the birthday of one of those good tidings, the sun that was born on October 25, 2017, by the direct mandate of our nation, our İYİ Party..."

“I HOLD OUR NATION'S MANDATE IN THE HIGHEST REGARD”

Describing the excitement she felt during the founding process, Akşener said, "Exactly 8 years ago on a Wednesday morning, the excitement I felt from holding our nation's mandate in the highest regard, and the gratitude I felt toward every single citizen I could touch, embrace, and whose voice I could help make heard."
