Meral Akşener's resignation statement set to dominate the agenda
A new claim has emerged regarding the İYİ Party, which decided to field candidates in all 81 provinces for the local elections. During the General Administrative Board (GİK) meeting, some party members expressed concerns that this decision could lower the party's vote share. It is alleged that Chair Meral Akşener stated she would resign if the vote share falls below the results of May 14.

As discussions continue regarding how the series of resignations within the İYİ Party might lower its vote share, particularly in major cities, a new claim has emerged.
Some İYİ Party GİK members stated that these discussions were also brought up during the GİK meeting where the decision to field candidates in all 81 provinces was made.
"I TAKE RESPONSIBILITY"
During the meeting, concerns were raised that this decision could lead to a shift of votes toward the CHP and other parties, especially in major cities like Istanbul and Ankara.
According to a report by Artı Gerçek, some GİK members stated that upon these concerns being voiced at the meeting, Akşener took the floor and said, "I take full responsibility if our votes drop; if we fall below the vote share we received on May 14, I will resign."
