İYİ Party Chair Meral Akşener met with her party's Uşak organization. After announcing Muhammet Gür as her party's Uşak mayoral candidate, Akşener also gave different messages regarding the local elections.
Akşener announced that the İYİ Party will enter the elections alone in Ankara and Istanbul, just as it will in every province in Turkey.
"ALONE IN ISTANBUL AND ANKARA"
Emphasizing that the decision was her own instruction, Akşener said the following:
"I am announcing it from here. This is my idea, my instruction: We are entering alone everywhere. We are entering alone in Ankara and in Istanbul as well. We are entering alone in every district. I believe we will succeed. As a result of this, this success belongs to all of us. If there is a failure, it is mine; I will fulfill that responsibility. You will work accordingly, we will work. If you do not want me to pay the price, you will work."
TARGETED IMAMOĞLU AND YAVAŞ
Addressing citizens after the press conference at the provincial headquarters, Akşener targeted Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu and Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş.
Akşener said, "I had an epiphany yesterday; Mr. Erdoğan knows. İmamoğlu will learn too. I was there when Mr. Erdoğan was going to prison. I was the one who took care of his wife and children. I was there when the police checkpoint in front of his house was removed. But I was the one who heard the harshest insults."
