Yeniden Refah Party Deputy Chairman Doğan Bekin made assessments regarding the ongoing search for alliances and cooperation among opposition parties. Bekin stated that contacts with the Saadet Party have reached a certain level of maturity and that they expect other political parties to be included in the process.

Bekin said, “The talks between the Saadet Party and the Yeniden Refah Party have reached a certain level. We anticipate that other political parties will also participate in this.”

Evaluating the decision of Gelecek Party Chairman Ahmet Davutoğlu to dissolve his party, Bekin described this step as a “virtuous move.” He noted that discussions had previously been held with Davutoğlu on various topics, but these contacts did not reach a conclusion.

Bekin stated, “Discussions were held with Mr. Davutoğlu, particularly regarding annexation, but after a while, this did not materialize. Although it did not happen then, we hope that the current Gelecek Party will also act together with us.”

Reminding that Gelecek Party deputies will continue their political activities under the umbrella of the New Path Group (Yeni Yol Grubu), Bekin said that a stronger political structure could emerge in the coming period. He stated that a possible decision to support the New Path Group's status in Parliament would be discussed by the party's organs.

Emphasizing that they cannot make a decision on this matter alone, Bekin expressed that the issue needs to be evaluated by the Central Decision and Executive Board and the Presidential Council. Stating that contacts with the Saadet Party are progressing positively, Bekin said, “I would like to state in advance that, God willing, very concrete steps will be taken regarding this issue in the near future.”
