Messages sent by the Mayor of Görele to a 16-year-old girl have emerged!

Görele District Mayor Hasbi Dede, in Giresun, was summoned to the prosecutor's office on February 8 as part of an investigation launched due to messages allegedly shared from his social media account. Following his statement, Dede was released by the court on February 9 under judicial control conditions.

PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE SUMMONS AGAIN

The prosecutor's office conducting the investigation summoned Hasbi Dede for a new statement on February 10. After his second statement, Dede was referred to the court with a request for his arrest, and he was subsequently arrested and sent to prison by court order.

ALLEGATIONS IN THE INVESTIGATION FILE

In the investigation file accessed by BirGün, it is alleged that Mayor Hasbi Dede sexually harassed a 16-year-old girl via messages. The file evaluates that the crime of "sexual harassment by taking advantage of the convenience provided by electronic communication tools against a child" was committed.

MESSAGES SENT AT 03:24

According to the message records entered into the investigation file, it is alleged that Hasbi Dede sent a message to the girl at 03:24 on the night of February 8 saying, "What kind of man am I?"

Upon the girl's response, "How old are you, why are you asking me such questions, Mr. Mayor?", it is claimed that Dede used the expressions, "It was on my mind to write to you. But I don't want it to be heard that I wrote to you."

DISCOMFORT REFLECTED IN MESSAGES

According to the information in the file, the girl, who stated that she was uncomfortable with the messages, replied, "You also have a daughter my age, is it right for you to write such things to me at this hour?" In response, it is reported that the messages allegedly belonging to Dede included the phrases, "Relax. You might have a boyfriend, no problem. You should have said 'Don't write' at the beginning then. Accept it, close the subject."

Before his arrest, Hasbi Dede made a statement regarding the allegations reflected in the public eye through his social media account. In his post, Dede included the following statements:

"There are allegations reflected in the public eye within the scope of an investigation conducted against me. First of all, I would like to clearly state that the protection of the family who is the subject of the allegations is the most fundamental sensitivity for me in this process. However, I want you to know that I am also one of the victims of this incident."
