MHP announces its election manifesto: Exactly 100 points

Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Deputy Chairman Sadir Durmaz has announced his party's 100-point election manifesto, which is framed by 9 principles consisting of 3 main themes.

Durmaz stated, ''The first of the 3 main themes of our manifesto is the issue of new threats and the survival of Turkey. Our second main theme is our vision of productive municipalism. Our third main theme is strong, eco-friendly cities that are prepared for disasters and crises.''

Durmaz also said that they would submit their final candidate lists to the Supreme Election Council (YSK) on February 15, without waiting for February 20.

SOCIETIES ARE BEING TARGETED FOR GENDERLESSNESS

Our priority is to embrace the Century of Turkey with a local governance approach that is fair and built on national interests. It is indisputable that the path to making this century a Turkish century passes through a strong central and strong local government approach. The first of the 3 main themes of our manifesto is the issue of new threats and the survival of Turkey. The MHP draws attention to the fact that our national values, primarily the institution of the family, are under attack. Societies are being targeted for genderlessness. The family is being reduced to a simple position. The family must be at the forefront of the primary goals of local governments.

WE WILL SHARE KEY EXAMPLES FROM THE 100 POINTS

Our second main theme is our vision of productive municipalism. It is unacceptable for any discrimination to be applied to any of our citizens. Our understanding of productive municipalism is built on the foundation of accurately identifying local needs. After our 3 main themes, 9 principles will be included, and we will share key examples from the 100 points contained within these principles.

9 PRINCIPLES

1. Productive Municipalism and Local Economy

We will ensure full effectiveness and efficiency in municipal services.

We will ensure that local resources are brought into the economy and made available for the city's benefit.

We will create new industrial zones in line with the city's needs and new technological developments.

2. Productive Municipalism and Resilient Cities

We will prepare city plans by taking into account disasters and the needs of the city.

We will support horizontal architecture that is in harmony with the traditional texture of our cities.

We will build new housing in protected areas close to the centers of our cities against earthquakes and natural disasters.

3. Productive Municipalism and Women, Family, Children

We will provide new job opportunities to increase women's participation in the workforce.

To ensure that children of all ages adapt to educational processes, we will open nurseries where both working mothers and housewives can send their children.

We will ensure our children grow up in a healthy environment by creating safe play areas, workshops, and educational support programs for them.

4. Productive Municipalism and Retirees/The Elderly

We will ensure the improvement of the quality of life for our elderly who are in need of care in all our cities.

We will increase the number of care and assistance service centers.

We will increase the number of cultural centers where retirees and the elderly can socialize and spend productive time together.

5. Productive Municipalism and Infrastructure, Transportation, Environment, Energy

We will revitalize environmental arrangements and reduce infrastructure problems.

We will place the fight against the global climate crisis at the center of our work.

We will strengthen the technologies and capacities of existing solid waste processing facilities; we will ensure that energy is produced from these facilities.

6. Productive Municipalism and Smart Digital Cities

We will support the increase of investments in cities in a way that is compatible with innovative technologies such as blockchain, cloud technology, and artificial intelligence.

By rapidly implementing smart systems in our municipalities, we will realize infrastructure projects with high technological capacity that prioritize social benefit.

We will transparently present the applications and innovations realized through city management information systems to our citizens.

7. Productive Municipalism and Safe, Livable Cities

We will prioritize the fight against all kinds of addictions, especially the fight against drugs.

We will provide a preventive measure by turning every part of the city into illuminated, safe streets and parks with smart lighting.

With the goal of a pedestrian and bicycle-focused city center, bicycle paths will be expanded, and in this way, we will reduce the carbon footprint.

8. Productive Municipalism and Social Support

To protect family integrity and the traditional Turkish family structure, we will increase the number of living and social centers where different generations can be together.

We will ensure that social assistance reaches those who are truly in need.

We will create information pools to bring together philanthropists and those in need of help.

9. Productive Municipalism and Participation

We will ensure citizens' access to e-participation applications.

We will implement programs based on volunteerism to increase effectiveness and efficiency in services.

We will bring neighborhood assemblies to life and ensure that regular meetings are held.
