It has been announced that 'We Are Brothers Trees' have been planted in front of the MHP Headquarters by MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli.

In a statement made by the MHP, pointing to the process initiated by Bahçeli after October 1, it was stated: "Following the process initiated by Bahçeli after October 1, it was characterized that the Fir, Cedar, and Spruce trees, being equilateral, represent the fact that the borders of the homeland are equal for all our stakeholders, that the internal angles of the equilateral triangle are known to be 60 degrees, and that our entire nation lives in peace under the Turkish triangle where everyone possesses equal rights and freedoms..."

The statement included the following: "On the occasion of National Afforestation Day, 'We Are Brothers Trees' were planted in front of the Headquarters by MHP Chairman Mr. Devlet Bahçeli. In terms of expressing the understanding that deeply embraces the Republic of Turkey within the Presidential government system, the Fir represents the executive, the Cedar represents the judiciary, and the Spruce represents the legislative branch."

BAHÇELİ'S LAST MONTH

MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli's last month has been full of noteworthy developments. The MHP leader had met with DEM Party deputies and officials, whom he had heavily criticized especially during the election period, at the opening of the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM). At the opening of the TBMM, Bahçeli also shook hands with CHP Chairman Özgür Özel. The sincere dialogue between the two had drawn attention.

President and AKP Chairman Erdoğan, regarding these visits by Bahçeli, had said, "There is a hand extended clearly and decisively. We find the stance displayed by Mr. Bahçeli positive and meaningful for our country's struggle for democracy."

Following this dialogue with the DEM Party and the CHP, Bahçeli then made a call to PKK leader Öcalan at his party's group meeting on October 15.

Bahçeli had made the following remarks at the group meeting:

"If the isolation of the terrorist leader is lifted, let him come and speak at the DEM Party group meeting in the TBMM. Let him declare that terrorism has completely ended and the organization has been disbanded. If he shows this fortitude and determination, let the path be wide open for legal regulations regarding the use of the right to hope and for him to benefit from it. Let the address extend from Imralı to DEM, not Kandil or Edirne, and let this heavy and historical terror problem be completely removed from the country's agenda. I challenge you, we are ready for this."

At the MHP's TBMM Group Meeting on November 5, Bahçeli stated, "If the terrorist leader, who was sentenced to aggravated life imprisonment, is going to say that terrorism has ended, the PKK has been disbanded, and that treason and separatism are a dead end, then let him come to the DEM group and say these one by one; let the truth come out, and let him benefit from the right to hope. I stand behind my word and I insist on my proposal."
