The ongoing "absolute nullity" debates within the Republican People's Party (CHP) were ignited after the 7th CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu announced that he would accept the chairmanship if the court rules in his favor.

While a verdict is expected in the hearing to be held on June 30, the first comment from the MHP regarding the disputes between the current and former CHP management has arrived. MHP Deputy Chairman Semih Yalçın targeted CHP Chairman Özgür Özel in his statement regarding the nullity debates.

'THE FIRE HAS REACHED THE CHIMNEY IN THE CHP'

Yalçın used the following expressions:

"The discussion of the possibility of “absolute nullity,” in legal terms, regarding CHP congresses is an indicator of the “absolute crisis” engulfing the party.  In the smoldering CHP, the fire has now reached the chimney and has begun to threaten the entire building.

The CHP must review and change its behavior and tone, especially at the level of the chairmanship. CHP executives and spokespersons must act responsibly, constructively, and maturely; they must not abandon composure and moderation.

Just in case, Özgür Özel should also take care of his delicate fingers.

The CHP is a large community. This community neither adopts nor deserves Özgür Özel’s childish, abrasive, and vengeful style of politics.
