MHP Deputy Chairman Yaşar Yıldırım made statements regarding the process the government calls a "Terror-Free Turkey" at an event held by his party in Kastamonu.

Yıldırım described the step in question as the "most successful organization" of the People's Alliance.

Pointing to the "Law on Strengthening National Solidarity and Social Integration" that has come into effect as part of the process, Yıldırım spoke about the regulation concerning those who lay down their arms.

The law is clear and explicit. We will defer the sentences of those who lay down their arms. There is no deferral for those who have killed people. Come on, we are brothers, let us give an opportunity. Come all together, lay down your arms. And let us ensure peace and security all together.

In his speech, Yıldırım also touched upon the People's Alliance's Syria policy.

Evaluating the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) ending their military presence and achieving full integration with Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), Yıldırım argued that the alliance has prevented the division of Turkey.

The People's Alliance has prevented the division of this country. We entered that swamp, Syria. And we drained the swamp.
