MHP statement on the 'opening' process: 'No concessions'

The Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) held a consultation meeting in the Çamlık area of the Kırkağaç district in Manisa. The meeting was attended by MHP Deputy Chairman and Manisa MP Erkan Akçay, AK Party Uşak MP İsmail Güneş, party members, and numerous citizens.
The program addressed the work of the People's Alliance, Turkey's fight against terrorism, developments in the defense industry, and the country's position in the international arena.
Delivering the first speech at the meeting, AK Party Uşak MP İsmail Güneş stated that Turkey has been fighting terrorism for many years and that great losses have been suffered during this process.
Stating that thousands of martyrs have been given and many citizens have lost their lives due to terrorism over the last 40 years, Güneş expressed that the state maintains its determination in the fight against terrorism.
Emphasizing that Turkey was not easily established, Güneş noted that ancestors, soldiers, police, and the nation have made great sacrifices for the homeland. Noting that the People's Alliance has been waging significant struggles for nearly 10 years under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, Güneş said that coup attempts, economic attacks, and various threats have been overcome with the support of the nation.
“WE ARE AWARE OF THE PROBLEMS EXPERIENCED BY RETIREES”
Stating that they acknowledge Turkey is facing some problems in the economic field, Güneş drew attention to the difficulties experienced by retirees in particular.
Stating that they are not acting as if there are no problems, Güneş pointed to the importance of the opportunities, investments, and social support provided to young people. Arguing that services not offered to citizens in many countries are being implemented in Turkey, Güneş said that the People's Alliance continues its efforts to solve the problems experienced by retirees.
Following AK Party Uşak MP İsmail Güneş, MHP Deputy Chairman and Manisa MP Erkan Akçay took the podium and made evaluations regarding the "Terror-Free Turkey" process.
Stating that Turkey has been fighting terrorism for nearly half a century, Akçay said that great pain has been experienced and heavy prices have been paid during this process.
Stating that the Turkish Armed Forces and security forces have achieved significant successes in the fight against terrorism, Akçay noted that at the point reached, the goal is to completely eliminate the terrorism problem.
“IT IS NOT BASED ON AN UNDERSTANDING OF CONCESSIONS OR BARGAINING”
Emphasizing that the "Terror-Free Turkey" policy is not based on any understanding of concessions or bargaining, Akçay said the following:
"Our security forces have achieved great successes in the fight against terrorism. We have given thousands of martyrs and paid great prices. At the point reached, the goal is to completely remove this problem from Turkey's path. The Terror-Free Turkey policy is not based on any understanding of concessions or bargaining. The goal is to completely remove weapons and violence from the agenda and to direct Turkey's energy toward development. This process is also strongly supported by our citizens."
