MHP to hold retreat with mayors
Following the March 31 local elections, the MHP will hold a retreat in Kızılcahamam from May 17-19 with the participation of its mayors.

The Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) will hold a retreat for its mayors focused on "productive municipalism." The retreat, scheduled for May 17-19, will take place in Kızılcahamam, Ankara.
During the retreat, the party will address issues such as urban planning, the necessary actions municipalities must take against natural disasters, and urban transformation, all within the framework of the party's election manifesto titled "Productive Municipalism" prepared for the local elections. MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli will preside over the retreat, which will be attended by 218 MHP mayors.
URBAN TRANSFORMATION TOPICS TO BE DISCUSSED
Presentations will be given to the mayors on "strategic communication and management models in municipalities" and "transformation of areas under disaster risk—risky structures and urban transformation." Within the framework of the party's election manifesto titled "productive municipalism" prepared for the local elections, the primary focus will be on urban planning, the necessary actions municipalities must take against natural disasters, and urban transformation.
ACTIONS AGAINST NATURAL DISASTERS TO BE EXPLAINED
The retreat will cover the necessary actions municipalities must take against natural disasters, which are increasing due to the global climate crisis. Other topics to be discussed include the importance of protecting and preserving natural, historical, and cultural assets, safeguarding water resources and the environment, and building livable cities.
