Swift response from MHP's Büyükataman to İYİ Party leader Dervişoğlu: 'Ülkücülük is too honorable a title for you to wear...'

MHP Secretary General İsmet Büyükataman responded with harsh words to İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu, who had leveled heavy criticisms against the MHP leadership during his group meeting today. 

Büyükataman made the following remarks regarding Müsavat Dervişoğlu, who is included in the list of 154 people that the MHP requested the court to summon: 

'ÜLKÜCÜLÜK IS TOO HONORABLE FOR THOSE LIKE YOU WHO CHASE AFTER SELF-INTEREST'

"The caretaker Chairman of the İP (İYİ Party) tried to escape from the truth in his speech today with a heavy dose of rhetoric.

Let us ask him these questions;

Were you not comfortable being on the same front while holding hands with those on that list and attacking the Nationalist Movement Party, and now you have suddenly come to your senses?

Why did it bother you so much to be on the same list as the people you entered the election with in the same bag?

If you were so uncomfortable, why did you enter the election around the same presidential candidate with all kinds of Marxist, FETÖist, Liberal, and DEM-affiliated partners?

Weren't you the ones who stayed silent and tried to prove you were not Ülkücü when your own interests were at stake during the election period? 

The 'Ülkücülük' you say you are ashamed of is already an honorable title that is too good for those like you who chase after self-interest and turn a blind eye to all kinds of disgrace for the sake of your own benefits!"

WHAT DID DERVİŞOĞLU SAY?

İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu had addressed the MHP leadership regarding the aforementioned list of 154 people, which includes himself, during today's party group meeting with the following words: 

"There is a controversy regarding the 154 people, including myself. I did not want to enter into this debate, but I do not find it appropriate to remain completely silent either. They have practically equated some people who could never come together in two worlds by stuffing them into the same bag; they have labeled them as members of separatist, liberal, Marxist, and FETÖist structures. Can you imagine? I am addressing those who did this. This is disrespectful to us. I don't want to say much. I don't want to go into detail and embarrass anyone. I don't want to hurt the community I grew up in. However, there is a limit to patience. The addressees of my words are not the people with whom I shared the past, but the scoundrels whose hands are stained with the blood of their fellow party members. Throughout my life, I have never been called a separatist, liberal, Marxist, or FETÖist. There is only one title I have used throughout my entire life. You have dragged it through the mud so much that I cannot use it out of shame because of you. May God reform you. I am addressing them from here. Do not ever, under any circumstances, include me in anyone else's pool. Do not confuse me with anyone else."
