The MHP announced that it will not hold its group meeting, which it usually conducts every Tuesday, this week. This decision was made due to the one-week break taken following the conclusion of the budget negotiations.
MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, in an interview with the newspaper Türkgün, had described the allegations of a "coup" within the party as "nonsense." He also criticized KDP leader Masoud Barzani, who attended a symposium held in Şırnak, stating, "It is a disgrace for soldiers in foreign uniforms to be wandering around."
