MIT Chief İbrahim Kalın to visit CHP Headquarters

MIT Chief İbrahim Kalın will visit the CHP Headquarters this week to give a presentation on FETÖ to CHP leader Özgür Özel and members of the Central Executive Board (MYK). 

The date and time of the visit will be kept confidential, and the press will not be invited. Kalın’s visit will take place following previous criticisms from the CHP.

ÖZEL HAD CONVEYED THE PRESENTATION REQUEST TO KALIN  

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel had conveyed in a letter written to MIT Chief İbrahim Kalın that, following the FETÖ presentation held at the AKP Headquarters, a similar presentation should be made to the CHP. Asking, "Are there pieces of information that we also need to know?", Özel had drawn attention to the importance of sharing information regarding FETÖ with both major parties.

THE TWO MET ON OCTOBER 29 

MIT Chief Kalın had held a brief meeting with CHP Leader Özgür Özel during the October 29 Republic Day ceremonies and stated that he would evaluate the request promptly. In his statement, Kalın indicated that they would make a presentation to the CHP and answer questions from CHP members.

VISIT WILL BE LIMITED TO PARTY MEMBERS ONLY 

According to information received from party sources, the visit that MIT Chief Kalın will make to the CHP Headquarters will be limited only to high-level figures within the party. The meeting, which will include CHP Leader Özgür Özel as well as MYK members, will take place away from the press.
