Muharrem İnce recounts his meeting with İmamoğlu! 'Let him answer that himself'

Memleket Party Chairman Muharrem İnce, clarifying that he was not referring to Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu in his recent remarks that dominated the agenda, stated, "I am appealing to İmamoğlu's conscience as well. Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu had previously commented on the remarks made by Memleket Party leader Muharrem İnce, who closed the doors to an alliance with the CHP in the local elections, saying, "Mr. İnce and I have not spoken in this tone, in this language, or with these concepts. I know his respect, deference, and affection for me. He knows my affection, respect, and deference for him. Therefore, if he has said these sentences, I will review why he said them."

Speaking on Sözcü TV about current events, Memleket Party Chairman Muharrem İnce gave the following response to a question regarding İmamoğlu's statement:

"I DID NOT MEAN İMAMOĞLU"

"I agree with İmamoğlu. He says he didn't understand anything. That's correct, he shouldn't have understood. No such conversation took place between us. The incident I was referring to is not related to İmamoğlu. I spoke with İmamoğlu on the phone. I explained my concerns. I was not referring to him."

HE RECOUNTS HIS MEETING WITH İMAMOĞLU

"You won in Istanbul with 8-10 thousand votes; even though we withdrew our candidacy, we received 103 thousand votes. We said we would help you. I told him that I spend 3 days a week in Istanbul and that I visit all the schools and teachers one by one. I said I would strive to deploy the Memleket Party's 20 thousand members to the field. I said these things with good intentions."

"LET HIM ANSWER THAT HIMSELF"

"I am appealing to Ekrem İmamoğlu's conscience as well. Did I ask for a single mayoral position? Let him speak for himself. I am now leaving it to his conscience. Did we discuss a single mayoral position or any specific place? Let him answer that himself."
