Muharrem İnce's 'Sinan Oğan' response to Ümit Özdağ: 'Your candidate supported Erdoğan'
Muharrem İnce has responded to comments made by Zafer Party Chairman Ümit Özdağ, who stated that Memleket Party leader Muharrem İnce left because he did not want Mansur Yavaş during the presidential elections, adding, "It was actually good that he left. Otherwise, he would have withdrawn his candidacy again, and we would have gone to the election without a presidential candidate."

Zafer Party Chairman Ümit Özdağ made notable remarks in an assessment he gave to Cansu Çamlıbel of T24.
'HE WOULD HAVE WITHDRAWN HIS CANDIDACY AGAIN'
Regarding the presidential candidacy process, Özdağ had said the following:
"I first expressed this in an interview I did with İsmail Küçükkaya on Fox TV in April 2022. Then I said it many times, 'Let it be Mr. Mansur.' I even called for a rally in front of the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality just before the elections. When this was not accepted, we started looking for a new candidate. Muharrem İnce reacted to my not nominating Mansur Yavaş and left. However, if he hadn't acted emotionally and had also supported Mansur Yavaş, he could have received some of the votes that would have gone to Mr. Mansur when Mr. Mansur did not become a candidate. If İnce had been our candidate, we had put forward a condition that 'Memleket Party candidates must be candidates from the Zafer Party list.' İnce left just as these things were being discussed. It was actually good that he left. Otherwise, he would have withdrawn his candidacy again, and we would have gone to the election without a presidential candidate."
'WHAT ARE YOU STILL TALKING ABOUT...'
Responding to Özdağ's statements via X, İnce said the following:
Mr. Ümit Özdağ, your presidential candidate supported Erdoğan, who "trampled on nationalism." What are you still talking about? Stop talking about me, turn around and look at yourself.
