Murat Kurum responds to Özgür Özel's 'incompetent' remark: 'Just as you lack the capacity...'

CHP leader Özgür Özel responded to remarks made yesterday by Murat Kurum, the People's Alliance's IMM mayoral candidate, who had said, "On March 31, the oppressed in Gaza will rejoice, our brothers in Gaza who reach out to us will rejoice. Our children in Gaza will rejoice."

Addressing AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Özel stated, "They have put someone as incompetent, as insincere, and as prone to lying as Murat Kurum against Ekrem Bey. Today is the last day, I am calling on Erdoğan. Withdraw Murat Kurum, put in Pinocchio instead."

KURUM'S RESPONSE TO ÖZEL

Murat Kurum responded to Özel's 'incompetent' and 'Pinocchio' remarks.

Speaking at a rally in Sultangazi, Kurum said, "Our speech expressing our sensitivity regarding Gaza has disturbed the CHP. He is hurling unspeakable insults at me personally. And then he has the nerve to talk to us about capacity. Mr. Özgür; you are the one who shed crocodile tears in front of the cameras when your party chairman's presidential candidacy was announced. Then you are the one who stabbed your party chairman in the back. You are the one wandering around like a wolf in sheep's clothing. And then you stand up and talk to us about capacity, is that so? Mr. Özgür, just as you lack the capacity, you don't even have a consistent stance. You are the last person to lecture me."

Kurum continued his remarks as follows;

"HE WILL LOSE HIS SEAT AFTER THE ELECTION"

"Do you know why they are so aggressive, why they are so disturbed? Because this inadequate co-chairman will lose his seat after the election. And as for the other one, that indifferent, uninformed mayor whose arrogance has outpaced his intellect, he will pack his bags and head to those holiday resorts he loves so much. That is the source of their panic."
