The People's Alliance, formed by the AKP and MHP, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) mayoral candidate Murat Kurum was a guest on a live broadcast of Akit TV, known for its proximity to the government.
Making assessments regarding the upcoming local elections, Kurum targeted the current IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu.
Regarding İmamoğlu, Kurum said, "We are facing a mayor who does not remember his promises, producing excuses like, 'I didn't remember that, I didn't make such a promise, I made it but couldn't start. The feasibility study was ready, it wasn't ready.' You know how they used to say, 'We are being obstructed.' These statements actually clearly reveal that they are not being obstructed. They are unaware of the situation themselves.''
Speaking about election polls, Kurum shared the latest data and revealed the gap between him and İmamoğlu.
Stating, "We will win on the evening of March 31. We see this in the enthusiasm, excitement, and determination everywhere we go. The interest and affection in the field show the natural poll," Kurum used the following expressions: "We are moving forward by building on the point where we said we were 1-1.5 points ahead. Currently, there is a 1.8-point difference. Some research companies state that it is much higher than this. By building on it and widening the gap, we will achieve a great victory."
