Murat Kurum shares results of the latest poll on his desk

There are only a few days left until the local elections on March 31, 2024. In Istanbul, one of the cities most anticipated in these critical elections, the race is expected to be between Murat Kurum, the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality mayoral candidate of the People's Alliance formed by the AKP and MHP, and the incumbent Istanbul Metropolitan Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, the candidate for the CHP.

Appearing as a guest on TGRT Haber, Murat Kurum made evaluations regarding the upcoming local elections.

"THEY HAD SAID THEY WERE 8-10 POINTS AHEAD..."

Targeting his rival Ekrem İmamoğlu, Kurum also shared the results of the latest poll on his desk.

Stating that they are on the field in every election, Kurum said, "They had said they were 8-10 points ahead in the polls. These days, they are trying to release those types of polls again to create a perception. I can clearly say this: we will win on the evening of March 31. We will walk to Saraçhane with all our fellow Istanbulites. We are 1.5-2 points ahead in the polls as well. In fact, some researchers have opinions that this will increase even further and that undecided voters will choose service at the ballot box."

Claiming that the current Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality administration has not kept its promises for 5 years, Kurum argued that the March 31 elections are the 'last exit before the bridge'.

650 THOUSAND HOUSING PROMISE

Speaking about his promise of 650 thousand housing units in 5 years, Kurum said that they built and delivered 46 thousand houses in the Elazığ, Malatya, Giresun, and İzmir earthquakes, and that 365 thousand social housing units across 81 provinces and 173 thousand urban transformation houses specifically in Istanbul can be seen.
