Murat Kurum targets İmamoğlu: 'After his asset declaration, 1.5 billion TL worth of assets emerged'

The People's Alliance Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayoral Candidate Murat Kurum addressed the public from his campaign bus in Sultangazi, 5 days before the local elections.

Stating that the IMM administration has not even driven a single nail in Sultangazi over the last 5 years, Kurum said, "They haven't done any work for Sultangazi. They haven't provided any services. They shattered the dreams of our brothers and sisters. They didn't meet their expectations. As if that weren't enough, they are criticizing our projects. The incompetent current IMM administration is spending Istanbul's resources for its own future. They are ignoring the labor and sweat of Istanbul. Far from solving the problems of Istanbulites, they are traveling from rally to rally in 80 provinces to design their own party. They are posing for photos with bundles of cash. Will we hold them accountable for these bundles of cash?"

"1.5 BILLION TL WORTH OF ASSETS EMERGED, WHY ARE YOU HIDING THEM"

Criticizing the IMM administration's rhetoric that 'these projects should not be built' regarding urban transformation and transportation projects in Istanbul, Kurum said, "They are also criticizing our projects. When we say we will transform 650 thousand residences in Istanbul, they say it shouldn't be done; they say those subways related to transportation shouldn't be built. While you were squandering Istanbul's money there, we were investing 365 billion TL in 39 districts of Istanbul. While we were holding the hands of our disaster-stricken brothers and sisters in Elazığ and Malatya, you were going skiing. While you were trying to design the CHP, we were starting construction sites for 180 thousand residences in 11 provinces. These people are incompetent. They are unqualified and inept. Look, after the asset declaration, assets emerged. After his asset declaration, 1.5 billion TL worth of assets emerged. Why are you hiding your assets from Istanbul? Why didn't you disclose them in your asset declaration? We will give them the answer at the ballot box on March 31st," he said.

Stating that citizens will give the necessary answer to the IMM administration at the ballot box in the March 31st elections, Kurum said, "On March 31st, we will give them such an answer at the ballot box that they won't know what hit them. There is also their co-chairperson, who questions the patriotism of our brothers who did paid military service. Their chairperson, who considers our children attending Quran courses as having a medieval mentality, will lose the leadership. The other one will go on that vacation he loves so much. On March 31st, we will give the necessary answer in Istanbul. We will give it strongly. March 31st will be a festival for Istanbul," he expressed.
