Müsavat Dervişoğlu slams Devlet Bahçeli! 'If the state has become dependent on your mind...'

Addressing party members there, Dervişoğlu said, in summary:

“There are those who say, ‘Yesterday they were with us, today they are not, oh what a traitor.’ The situation is the same in the Nationalist Movement Party. Similar things are happening there too; when you do things contrary to what you said yesterday, how can Nationalist Movement Party members remain where you are? If you invite Abdullah Öcalan to the podium in the Turkish Grand National Assembly, how can this nation believe and trust you! When asked, they say ‘state wisdom.’ If the state has become dependent on your mind, it has already lost its own.

“THEY HAVE SPOKEN WHAT OTHERS ORDERED”

Whatever we see as a problem regarding Turkey's future today, these gentlemen have their signatures behind it. When we look at what has happened from yesterday to today, you would have difficulty identifying their responsibilities because they keep changing the subjects. These gentlemen say things that either need interpretation, explanation, or defense. But thank God, nothing we say needs interpretation, explanation, or defense. When they said 'nation,' we said 'Turkish nation.' When they said 'homeland,' we said 'Turkish homeland.' When they said 'flag,' we said 'Turkish flag.' We are no different from them. We are no different from this nation. We have said what the nation said. They have spoken what others ordered; that is the only difference between us.

There is a significant problem in the Middle East. When we look at what is happening, there is a major problem in the world, truly a major problem, but they are cheapening it with trivial expressions as if it were a very simple problem. Those who have designs on Turkey's lands want to turn foreign policy issues into material for domestic politics by creating a perception as if they are expanding Turkey's geography. They enter Aleppo and hang a small Turkish flag on the Aleppo Citadel; if you look at social media, they say we have 81 provinces, and Aleppo is 82. Another says this is 83, this is 84, this is 85. While you are calling Aleppo 82 and the other 83, the United States has reached an agreement with Israel and is continuing efforts to implement the Greater Middle East Project of Western imperialism. While you are rejoicing because there is a Turkish flag in Aleppo, Turkey's enemies are holding meetings in the Middle East to reduce 81 to 80, 79, 78, 77.

“THIS GOVERNMENT HAS ONLY THE TIME OF A PRAYER LEFT”

The difficulties we face are so great that we will not run away by saying it is too hard to overcome them. We will confront every kind of difficulty. We will increase our determination to struggle. And instead of creating problems, we will focus on solving them. Because they represent a political identity and personality that expects appreciation and congratulations from the citizens while solving the problems they created themselves. First, they ruin the country. Then, while fixing the things they ruined, they try to deceive and fool the citizens by saying, ‘Look at the good work we are doing.’ We will not allow this. This government has only the time of a prayer left. To take on all these great responsibilities, it is not enough to just talk. We must also fulfill our responsibilities. What I am saying can only be achieved if we are in unity and solidarity.”
